What to bring

We will be outdoors in the shade. The park has views to the ocean, tall trees and large grassy areas. There’s a public restroom near by with a water fountain. It’s a short walk from the park to Doheny State Beach.

Please bring:

  1. Someone you love

  2. An open heart and mind

  3. A picnic blanket that’s big enough for you and your partner

  4. (useful but not required) A yoga mat, pillows, blanket, decorations for your space

  5. Your own picnic lunch. We will provide snacks, sweets and sparkling water to share.

  6. Water bottles or drinks.

  7. Sunblock, hats, sunglasses, layers for when the weather changes

  8. If you like to write or jot things down: pens, journal or paper.

  • If you’re gifting this experience to your partner or best friend, we recommend checking for interest ahead of time by asking about:

    • Comfort with group experiences

    • Openness to light movement and guided activities

    • Interest in connection-focused experiences

This helps ensure the surprise lands as loving and supportive.

Some frames you can edit to invite your partner without giving everything away:

    • Hey love 💛 quick check-in question — how would you feel about doing something different for Valentine’s Day this year? Like a guided, playful experience focused on connection and spending intentional time together. How does that sound?

    • I’ve been thinking about how much I value our relationship and how easy it is to get busy. Would you be open to a light, playful and thoughtful experience that will help us feel more connected?

Please check in or confirm with your partner before you RSVP. You will not be refunded if your partner decides to not participate.

  • That’s very common—and totally okay. Activities are clearly guided, optional, and designed to feel safe and light. No one is put on the spot, and participation is always at your own comfort level.

  • No. Most exercises are done one-on-one with your partner. Group sharing is optional and typically focused on insights or reflections—not private details.

  • You’re welcome as long as both people are willing to participate respectfully. This workshop offers tools for awareness, listening, and repair, but it’s not meant for active crisis situations.

  • If weather conditions require changes, registered participants will be notified in advance with updated plans or options.

  • Due to limited capacity and planning needs, tickets are non-refundable. However, tickets are transferable to another pair if you notify the host in advance.
