Picnic & Playdate
Feb 14, 2026

What to bring

We will be outdoors in the shade. The park has views to the ocean, tall trees and large grassy areas. There’s a public restroom near by with a water fountain. It’s a short walk from the park to Doheny State Beach.

Please bring:

  1. An open heart and mind

  2. A picnic blanket that’s big enough for you and your partner

  3. (useful but not required) A yoga mat, pillows, blanket to make your space more comfortable.

  4. Your own picnic lunch.

  5. Water bottles or drinks.

  6. Sunblock, hats, sunglasses, layers for when the weather changes

  7. If you like to write or jot things down: pens, journal or paper.

This beautiful spot is worth the drive!

Please add a generous 15 mins cushion time to your commute.

Your unhurried arrival will allow your nervous systems to feel safe and grounded before joining the group.

Oh the things you can enjoy when you’re early:

  1. Find a good parking spot

  2. Listen to your favorite music in your car

  3. Walk around, find the restroom, enjoy the sun and nature

  4. Have a breather, ground yourselves, set up your picnic blanket.

  5. Take some photos and selfies

  6. Check in

  7. Say hi to other participants who are there early

Picnic & Playdate

What if Valentine’s Day wasn’t about impressing but about reconnecting? More than just good food, sweet treats and flowers, enjoy quality connection time that will actually strengthen your bond!

This event is for

  • Best friends who want to deepen emotional intimacy

  • Couples at any stage of relationship

  • Existing relationships that value growth, communication, and meaningful connection

This is not a dating event.

This is NOT couples therapy.
The focus is on skill-building, play, and intentional connection, not diagnosing or fixing anyone.

  • If you’re gifting this experience to your partner or best friend, we recommend checking for interest ahead of time by asking about:

    • Comfort with group experiences

    • Openness to light movement and guided activities

    • Interest in connection-focused experiences

This helps ensure the surprise lands as loving and supportive.

Some frames you can edit to invite your partner without giving everything away:

    • Hey love 💛 quick check-in question — how would you feel about doing something different for Valentine’s Day this year? Like a guided, playful experience focused on connection and spending intentional time together. How does that sound?

    • I’ve been thinking about how much I value our relationship and how easy it is to get busy. Would you be open to a light, playful and thoughtful experience that will help us feel more connected?

Please check in or confirm with your partner before you RSVP. You will not be refunded if your partner decides to not participate.

  • That’s very common—and totally okay. Activities are clearly guided, optional, and designed to feel safe and light. No one is put on the spot, and participation is always at your own comfort level.

  • No. Most exercises are done one-on-one with your partner. Group sharing is optional and typically focused on insights or reflections—not private details.

  • You’re welcome as long as both people are willing to participate respectfully. This workshop offers tools for awareness, listening, and repair, but it’s not meant for active crisis situations.

  • If weather conditions require changes, registered participants will be notified in advance with updated plans or options.

  • Due to limited capacity and planning needs, tickets are non-refundable. However, tickets are transferable to another pair if you notify the host in advance.
